Liverpool will hope to grab another win in the Premier League as they welcome Sunderland to Anfield tomorrow. Here is how they could line up...

Between the sticks

Alisson Becker

Although most of us may have forgotten that he was in goal, so little did he have to do against West Ham, Alisson completed another 90 minutes on the road to full fitness on Sunday.

There is no reason for Slot to switch things up for tomorrow's fixture, which promises to be a much tougher challenge.

The back four

Andrew Robertson, Virgil Van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate, Joe Gomez

After a much-improved display against West Ham, Kerkez is likely to miss out tomorrow, following his late withdrawal due to cramp. It comes as little surprise that the Hungarian is feeling fatigued, having played three matches in the span of eight days. In his stead, squad regular Robertson will come into the side.

Speaking of regulars, Van Dijk and Konate are virtually guaranteed to continue their streak of having played every league game this season. The comfortable clean sheet last time out will inspire a lot of confidence in the heart of defence, having deprived West Ham of any big chances or shots on target.

Only the right-back spot raises question marks. Gomez was superb on his first start since the end of October, but Slot may feel he has to manage his minutes given the 28 year-old's rocky injury history.

If the squad veteran does make way, either Szoboszlai or Jones will have deputise. This is because Slot confirmed that tomorrow's fixture comes too early for Bradley, who is expected to be available against Leeds United this Saturday.

The middle of the park

Alexis Mac Allister, Ryan Gravenberch, Dominik Szoboszlai

While the Hammers does not put up much of a fight on Sunday, the Liverpool midfield played their part in the win, and probably did enough to go unchanged into the clash against Sunderland.

This means that Mac Allister and Gravenberch will reprise their partnership in the heart of midfield, while Szoboszlai will provide energy and pressure from a more advanced position.

If, however, Slot chooses to rest Mac Allister - the Argentinian has played three sets of 90 minutes in a row for the first time in seven months - Jones and Endo are available to fill in at defensive midfield.

Up top

Cody Gakpo, Hugo Ekitike, Mohamed Salah

Fitness concerns will likely force Slot to drop Wirtz tomorrow, despite the fact that the German put in arguably his best performance of the season against West Ham.

Speaking in a press conference today, Slot admitted that Wirtz has missed out on "one-and-a-half, two weeks of training", so he would have to see how the 22 year-old recovers from the visit to the London Stadium.

The gaffer also spoke on the fitness of Isak, revealing that the Swede started to feel cramp during Sunday's fixture. Given Slot's cautious approach to the fitness of the blockbuster signing so far, it is likely that Ekitike will come back into the squad. If the Frenchman does start, he will look to break a run of seven games without a goal for the Reds.

After the bold decision to relegate Salah to the bench for the entirety of Liverpool's win over West Ham, Slot is almost certain to bring the Egyptian back into the fold against Sunderland.

The gaffer will be keen to make the most of Salah's considerable talents before he leaves for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in two weeks time. It has been confirmed that the 33 year-old will depart after Liverpool's fixture against Brighton on the 13th of December, and could be gone until the AFCON final on the 18th of January.
