After an abysmal defeat last time out in the Premier League, Liverpool will be keen to remind home fans what good football looks like, with PSV the visitors in tomorrow's Champions League tie. Here is how we could line up...

Between the sticks

Alisson Becker

Despite a baptism of fire during the 0-3 thumping on Saturday, Alisson is back in goal, and this should give us all confidence.

The Brazilian is still one of the top goalkeepers in European football, and his quality will be needed if the defence in front of him continue to concede chances.

The back four

Andrew Robertson, Virgil Van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate and Joe Gomez

After missing out on the starting eleven last weekend, Robertson is certain to return to the lineup, restoring some leadership and continuity to the team.

Van Dijk will continue his streak of starting every game in the Champions League, while his defensive partner Ibrahima Konate is only guaranteed a place because of the lack of alternatives. If Leoni was not injured, and Gomez not needed at full-back, it would be hard to see the Frenchman retaining his place after a woeful performance against Nottingham Forest.

As it stands, however, Gomez is primed to start at full-back for the first time since Liverpool's league cup fixture in December of last year. Bradley and Frimpong are ruled out, having not been seen in training today, reports Paul Joyce. Calvin Ramsay is not an option, as he is not eligible for the squad.

The middle of the park

Curtis Jones, Ryan Gravenberch and Dominik Szoboszlai

One would hope that Slot has learned his lesson about pigeon-holing the player of the season into full-back, so it is highly likely that Szoboszlai will return to attacking midfield. This will get the best out of his fantastic all-round game, as shown below:

To be honest, with Wirtz on the sidelines and Mac Allister unable to step up to the physicality of the role, it's not like Liverpool have many other options.

Although neither Jones nor Gravenberch covered themselves in glory during the defeat to Forest, both are expected to start tomorrow. They will hope to put up a stronger fight than they did at Anfield last weekend, having been far to easy to play through.

Mac Allister is also in contention but Slot may opt to drop him to the bench after a flimsy and uninspired shift in the previous fixture.

Up top

Cody Gakpo, Hugo Ekitike and Mohamed Salah

Thanks to Wirtz's continued absence and Isak's anonymous display last match, the forward line is pretty easy to predict.

Gakpo was one of the brighter sparks on Saturday, and he will be keen to make an impact against his boyhood club, so expect to see him in the starting eleven tomorrow.

After failing to impress against Forest, Isak is certain to give way for Ekitike. The Frenchman will be raring to go at Anfield, and will hope to find the net again in the Champions League.

Liverpool have a lot of problems at the moment, but Mohamed Salah is not one of them, so expect the Egyptian to start against PSV. The 33 year-old created three chances and completed four dribbles on Saturday, and is looking increasingly like himself.

If Salah does start, it will be his 80th appearance in the Champions League, the third most of any player in Liverpool history.
